Why does thick filament of a lightbulb glow while the connecting wires do not ?

Looks like the resistivity of tungsten (used in filaments) is about 56nΩm, and copper's about 17nΩm, so most of the difference must be that the filament isn't really that thick. Often they are a coiled coil, per the photo.
