Commentary on a poem...help me out please?

Note the metaphor of his parents being in his hands. Also note the way he ends each line. He repeats "palms" quite frequently. His rhyme scheme is unorthodox, but it is fresh and interesting. He personifies his body with lines like "take up the skin's demands".
